Incorporating established mobile technology, the OnStream meter can collect month end or quarterly meter readings for billing purposes, delivered directly or via an appointed data collector. Additionally, ad-hoc reads can be collected without the need for customer intervention with profile data can be collected and presented to a secure web site for easy analysis and presentation. Notably meter settings and tariff details can be simply loaded into the meter via the communications infrastructure, without the need for a site visit.
