About Us

OnStream is part of the National Grid group and was formed in 2001 to offer a flexible and responsive service to the competitive metering market and to meet the needs of our individual customers. We take the headache out of managing metering operations by providing economically effective gas and electricity solutions with the ability to finance both capital and installation costs over the asset life. Operations commenced in June 2003 and since then OnStream has installed over 1.5 million gas and electricity meters including I&C non-half hourly Smart meters.

The Future

As an asset led business, our core service is based around meter asset provision and associated activities. Into the future, it is recognised that the provision of these services will be underpinned by data and data services, thus smart metering is viewed as a key growth opportunity along with cementing our national end-to-end metering solution.
